More than 50 years ago Mr. And Mrs. Joseph Collette founded this hotel of our own. Most of our guests recommended from our old visitors. (no publicity in newspapers)

You can find Hotel Collette  in the old upper town. On the same place, where the Burgvogt of Vianden - castle used to reside, the new house was build: a very nice old 18th century manor. As a relict of that time, it restes anold underground passage to the castle. Today the area and the house are classified as a national monument.

On the large list of celebrity guests we find among others the french author Victor Hugo; during his several stays he had very friendly relations to our house. A member of the owner family Pauly was major of Vianden and Victor Hugos sponsor.

In the year 1968 we bought the severely damaged house that had suffered a lot in World War II. We have renovated this historic building maintaining its historical core with many love and patience.

We hope to mediate the flair and the particular charm of our hotel that, for many, is a pleasant refreshing island. Mrs Collette herself is preparing "haute cuisine" with the best ingredients in old days tradition. We wish you a nice stay.

Flower terrace with restaurant service

Being up to date, we have opened a second restaurant, in house, on the same level in our street. "A LA GRANGE COLLETTE" (Collettes Hangar) With easy acces for our handicapped fellow persons (Wheel chair). We serve freshly prepared menus (2 - 3 stages) and menus (small card) for moderate prices. And for having a break, have a wonderfull cup of coffee, tea or warm chocolade and house made pastry specials. If you travel to Vianden, please give us the honour to "COME AND SEE US"
