Since many years,
the festival of Middle Ages has become very well know. Our
Hotel, located close to the famous Vianden castle, invites you
for a special weekend.

1st Evening: Welcome drink and dinner (4 stages)
2nd Evening: a house made liqueur and a special 6 stages
gastronomic dinner prepared by the owner.

Festival of International Literary days in Vianden
from 10th until 12th September 2010
In only a short period of
time, this festival has become well know and is highly
appreciated by it΄s visitors. During those two days,
nummerous stands and boutiques are lined up in the streets
of Vianden to sell national & international new & antique
books and documents. They're even sold from public places
and garages. There are newly printed editions and some of
the authors even come to sign their book. There's also a
Second Hand shop and a demonstration with regard to the
manufacturing of books. Information is being given in regard
to parchment, modern paper, book restoration, typography and
design, printing offices and the art of book binders.
And for the nostalgic persons amongst us: old post cards,
documents, postage stamps, old-fashioned music records and
ancient CD's.

2 times Dinner "ABUNDANCE"; 4 - 5 stages, each time
accompanied by a house made aperitif.
Included: one free entrance of
the Victor Hugo Museum and documentation of the city of
Vianden.

For more than 100 years, the area of Vianden has become famous
for its walnuts & hazelnuts. Our gourmet restaurant cordially
invites you, from Friday evening to Sunday morning, to try its
various house made Bio products.

Bonfire St. Martin in Vianden
on 13th November 2010
For many
centuries, Vianden celebrates its traditional Bonfire. In the
evening, at two different mountain slopes, people gather
around to fire up big piles of wood. Before they put out the
fire, they light their torches and walk down the valley, while
singing some songs.
In the ancient
days, St. Martinstag was the time to pay back loans and to pay
house staff. Both customs were still in practice at the
beginning of the 20th Century and even still are in many
Branches.
To sympathize with this
beautiful event, we offer 1 or 2 nights, from Friday or
Saturday evening until Sunday morning.
